Abuse was a word rarely used; little was known about it, and it was rarely heard about.
Many of us didn’t realize how many men, women, and children walk around silently bearing the impacts, scars, and wounds of this cruel, vicious evil. Or how many men and women are fighting the battle against this cruelty alone, with nowhere to go for help?
It was out of this sad and heartbreaking reality that HAVEN of Mercy was formed.
HAVEN was formed in 2021 by 30 men and women, married couples, and individuals from the Protestant Reformed Churches.
Some of these individuals are victims themselves, some are friends and family of victims, and many have walked and cared for abuse victims. We are fellow believers - people in your pews- whose lives have been deeply impacted by abuse. We do not want anyone walking this confusing path alone
