Do you feel alone after experiencing abuse? Are you confused about what the Bible really says about forgiveness and safety? Do you want to support a victim but are at a loss on what that looks like? Many sitting in the pews face these hard questions every day. When abuse happens, victims need someone to believe them and help them stay safe. We offer guidance on the best ways to support survivors and protect everyone. At HAVEN of Mercy, we are fellow believers -- people in your pews -- whose lives have been deeply impacted by abuse. We do not want anyone to walk this confusing path alone.

How We Help
Advocate

Our advocates walk with survivors through the overwhelming and scary situations they face.

An advocate can help survivors make sense of what is happening and assist in explaining their situation and thoughts.
Support

We support families and friends, helping them walk with their loved ones, educating them, and equipping them with the resources they need.
Educate

Education and awareness are paramount in preventing abuse. Prevention starts with teaching our children to recognize signs of abuse, navigate relationships, and learn healthy boundaries.

Education ensures that the church community understands the importance of these issues, how to handle them, and how to care for victims and survivors.
How Can You Help?
• Volunteer, using your gifts to walk alongside survivors and educate the local community.
• Give, your financial support gives hope and a voice to victims, help to the church, and fosters a community of care. Monetary donations are instrumental in providing victims with the additional help they need and will also enable us to develop our educational resources.
